Alisa Shangina , Alisa’sWonderland

Alisa Shangina was born in the USSR (Soviet Union), grew up there and graduated as an engineer and artist in Russia.  She now lives and works in Spain.

She started painting when she was two and took up sewing at the age of seven.  Since the beginning of 2007, she began creating toys, clothes and accessories from merino wool.  In 2009, Alisa moved to Spain, gave birth to a baby boy and made her very first teddy bear.

Her debut bear was a polar bear and it was presented to her son. 

She very much enjoyed the creative process involved in making teddy bears, and decided to continue in this field.  Thus “Alisa’sWonderland” was born. 

Alisa always uses high quality professional materials from Germany, Schulte and Sassy fabrics, and designer synthetic fabrics.

Her creations have found homes in many countries, including: USA, UK, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Holland, Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Australia and so on …

Her son, Eric, is a constant source of inspiration for her.  Each new creation always passes through his hands and receives a hug and a kiss on the nose. “I do this,” he says, “because I love them all!”

Alisa is really happy to have found the wonderful world of Teddy Bears.  She wants to thank all of her customers.  It is a great pleasure for her when they return and adopt her bears again.  Many thanks and big hugs from “Alisa’sWonderland”!
